Dr. Carson grew up on a farm and ranch in southeast Kansas. He attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine from 1996 to 1998 then finished his clinical work at Kansas State University in 1999. After graduation he worked in a mixed animal practice in Lancaster, OH; a small animal practice in Westerville, Ohio; and did relief work around Central Ohio before joining the Healthy Pets team in 2012. Dr. Carson’s special interests include ultrasound and surgery, but thinks it’s important to stay well rounded in all disciplines. He is married to Donya who is an ER vet at MedVet in Worthington and has two children, River and Aspen. He has a 22-year-old parrot named Greenbird and a Lab named Dave.
Dr. Dawn Keith grew up on the east coast in Braintree, Massachusetts. She spent many years working and volunteering in shelters, animal hospitals, research labs, and in barns to gain a wealth of hands-on knowledge with all types of animals. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in animal science/pre-veterinary studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst graduating magna cum laude in 1996. She came to Columbus to pursue her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University, graduating in 2000. After graduating, Dr. Keith married her husband Ryan, a fellow veterinary student, and started working in Mansfield, Ohio in a small animal and exotic practice. After 2 years, she came to Healthy Pets of Ohio in 2002. She has an interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and pocket pet medicine. When not in the office, she is busy at home raising four small children and their menagerie of animals. When she gets a free moment, Dr. Keith enjoys reading, running, horseback riding, crafting, gardening, and volunteering.
Dr. June Huff is a Columbus native. Born at Riverside Hospital, she grew up a Buckeye from the start. After completing her Bachelor of Science at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, she returned to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Doctorate in 2002 and graduated Magna cum laude with honors. Dr. Huff also received the Excellence in Small Animal General Practice Award. Dr. Huff joined the Healthy Pets team in June 2002. Her areas of interest include ultrasound, cytology, and internal medicine. When not chasing a toddler around the house, she enjoys art (including the pictures hanging in the lobby of our Rome-Hilliard office).
