About Healthy Pets of Rome Hilliard
Healthy Pets of Rome Hilliard is a full-service veterinary hospital that has been serving the community for over 25 years. Our mission here at Healthy Pets is to provide a cooperative environment where owners and the veterinary team come together to celebrate life through the wellness of their pets. To honor and guard the beauty of the human animal bond through advanced medicine and surgery, with compassion and love.

We have six veterinarians with a team of licensed veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants, which allows us to offer state of the art medical care for your pets. We offer services that range from annual wellness exams to more advanced services that help to keep your furry family member healthy and happy. No two pets are the same, and not every family has the same needs. We take pride in formulating individualized treatment plans for every patient and working with you to provide the best care for your pet.

Dr. Michael Kelleher

Dr. Michael Kelleher was raised in Alliance, Ohio. He was the youngest of seven children! After attending St. Thomas Aquinas High school in Canton, Ohio, he earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Kelleher worked in Dover, Ohio at a mixed animal practice before coming to Healthy Pets in August 1997. He was a big fan of his kid’s sports; however, he and his wife Cindy are now empty nesters! They enjoy their condo in Fort Myers, FL, between all of their church activities. Dr. Kelleher helps with the Central Ohio Emmaus Community and is also active in Kairos Prison Ministry in Marion, Ohio. He also graduated from Nazarene Bible College with a degree in Pastoral Ministries. When he is not busy serving the community and taking care of pets, you can catch Dr. Keller driving his jeep gladiator or motorcycle!

Dr. Jennifer Kulp

Dr. Jennifer Kulp is a central Ohio native. She completed her undergraduate at Miami University before attending Ohio State to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Kulp moved to Denver, Colorado to complete a 1-year rotating small-animal internship at Wheat Ridge Animal Hospital, where she received additional valuable training in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Neurology. While Colorado is beautiful and allowed her to further develop her love of hiking and the outdoors, she just could not stay away from her Columbus home and returned to join the Healthy Pets family in 2015. She gets joy from making a positive impact on the lives of her patients and their families. Dr. Kulp loves spending time with her own family, including her husband, son, and her four-legged kids (Mialey a beagle mix, Ember a shepherd mix, and Na’vi a sassy cat)

Dr. Graham Smith

Dr. Graham was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology from Youngstown State University. He moved to Columbus in 2010 and received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2014. Dr. Graham has worked at a small animal practice in Grove City, OH since 2011. His medical interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, chemotherapy, and preventive medicine. Dr. Graham has a cat named Sophia and two pit bulls. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, traveling, and cheering on the Buckeyes!

Dr. Mitch Whalen was raised in Cleveland, Ohio! He grew up with an older brother and two younger sisters. With aspirations of becoming a zookeeper, he pursued his Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences at The Ohio State University. Dr. Whalen went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from OSU. During his studies, he was an active member of the Theriogenology Club as well as a Bible Study Club. Dr. Whalen has a special interest in leadership, practice ownership and anything related to internal medicine as well as cardiology and neurology. He and his girlfriend share their home with Odie, a sweet mixed wirehair pooch. Dr. Whalen enjoys playing basketball, reading Game of Thrones and of course, Cleveland sports! His goals are to build lifelong relationships with the Healthy Pets clientele and become a key part of the Healthy Pets family.
