At Healthy Pets of Westgate, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellent service, which began more than 60 years ago. Our clinic was established in 1952 by Dr. Hal Taylor Sr. in the historic Hilltop area of Columbus’ west side. He set a standard of pet care that we continue to provide today through our family-owned practice of three generations.

Healthy Pets of Westgate cares for your family’s pet by providing state-of-the-art surgical and medical services while keeping a small-clinic feel. We offer digital X-rays, dental X-rays, ultrasound, laser surgery and a variety of surgical procedures, ranging from the basic spay or neuter to cosmetics and orthopedics. In addition, we have a complete in-house laboratory, including blood analysis capabilities to ensure your pet receives a rapid diagnosis and early treatment for the best chance at a speedy recovery.

Even in a small clinic, your pet can receive superb care and pampering when you have to be away for business or pleasure. You can take comfort in knowing your pet will receive supervised medical care and personal attention in our boarding facility. Pet grooming is also available with our on-staff master groomer. Scheduled appointments are available and we continue to offer walk-in hours for your convenience.

Dr. Andrew Queler, Managing Doctor

Dr. Queler was born in Bronx, New York but grew up on Long Island. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Albany, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. He rowed three years with the SUNY Albany Crew team where he helped his team win the silver medal at the state championship. Upon earning his doctorate degree from The Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Queler joined the Healthy Pets team in June1999 as an associate veterinarian. He is the current managing doctor of our Healthy Pets of Westgate location. Dr. Queler enjoys small animal medicine and surgery and has a special interest in avian and exotic animal medicine.

Dr. Queler is an avid runner and has completed numerous half and full marathons over the past few years. He has also competed in the OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) World Championship Event, which is held in either the US, Canada or in the UK. This is an event that in which have to qualify for in order to compete in. He and his wife Heather have three beautiful children, Kylee and twins Braylee and Brayden, along with small menagerie of pets including dogs, cats and several tortoises.

Dr. Holly Hauser

Dr. Hauser currently resides in Ashville, Ohio with her large group of Collies, Border Collies and Australian Shepherds. All of her crew are rescues and several are special needs (she has blind, deaf and blind and deaf dogs). She is very active in agility training (even with the specials needs kids), dog rescue and fostering. In her “spare time” she enjoys traveling to the Outer Banks and to North Captiva Island.
