Healthy Pets of Hayden Run

At Healthy Pets of Hayden Run, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellent service, which began more than 60 years ago. Our group of clinics was established in 1952 by Dr. Hal Taylor Sr. in the historical Hilltop area of Columbus’ west side. He set a standard of pet care that we continue to provide today through our family-owned practices of three generations. Our group has grown from 1 location to now 8 locations throughout the central Ohio area.

Healthy Pets of Hayden Run is the newest member of the Healthy Pets family. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health related educational opportunities for our clients. We will care for your family’s pet by providing state-of-the-art surgical and medical services while keeping a small-clinic feel. We offer digital X-rays, dental X-rays, ultrasound, laser surgery and a variety of surgical procedures, ranging from the basic spay or neuter to cosmetics and orthopedics. In addition, we have a complete in-house laboratory, including blood analysis capabilities to ensure your pet receives a rapid diagnosis and early treatment for the best chance at a speedy recovery.

As we continue the legacy originally set by Dr. Taylor, we continue to offer the most advanced, highest quality medical care available for your pet. We encourage you to visit our clinic or call for a scheduled appointment to make sure your pet remains a “Healthy Pet.”

Dr. Hal (Chip) Taylor III

Dr. Chip Taylor began his career in veterinary medicine watching his grandfather and father taking care of other people’s animals. Seeing the changes since those early days as a child, he chose the field of veterinary medicine. This choice was in large part due to all the medical advances and challenges it holds. His choice of veterinary medicine has allowed him to explore many different areas, including medicine and surgery using the latest advances in technology to deliver the best medicine possible. He is one of a handful of surgeons in central Ohio who is certified to provide both TPLO and TTA knee repair surgery, as well as for fracture repair. While he enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine, the most rewarding cases for him have been in the treatment of cancer patients.

Dr. Hal Taylor III (Chip), has served as President, and as a board member, on the Board of Trustees for the Alumni Society of the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine. He is active within the AVMA and OVMA.

Dr. Chip Taylor and his wife live in Hilliard with their children. Included in their family are 4 pets, 1 cat; Geno and their 3 dogs Maui, Bruiser and Blue. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, fishing and boating.
